Cultivating Vision

29 Apr Cultivating Vision

2020 was a year of significant change as we launched out two new bases, transitioned our entire Leadership Team and said some of the hardest goodbyes we’ve ever had to. While mourning the loss of many of our short-term dreams and goals, those of us who remained in Tokyo have clung to the Lord to see what He might say to us and how He would lead us through our pain and uncertainty. Throughout all that’s happened, God has been faithful to keep our community safely knit together. There is no better medicine than thankfulness and we have much to be thankful for.

Now the time has come to fortify into a community that is “of one accord.” The former mentioned changes were so significant that we feel YWAM Tokyo is being re-pioneered by its current staff. We have been gathering together three days a week over this past month to intentionally seek unity and vision for our base. We wanted to hear each other’s past stories, current passions, and future dreams for reaching Japan and the world. We believe that God will continue to speak to us as a community about who we are, what we carry, and where we’re going.

I’m excited and feel honored to be a staff member at this time. I believe this is a turning point for us as a base and that we need your prayers. Each and every one of our staff are passionate, intelligent and we all have beautiful dreams. It would be an honor to have your prayers regarding this. Please pray for the unification of our community and for the ability to catch the Lord’s vision for us as a base in our next season. Thank you for joining us in spirit and we look forward to celebrating what God is going to do in and through us.
